About New Faculty Orientation
Each year, SF State welcomes new faculty to the campus community. These newest members of our academic family are introduced to the ethos and culture of the university through a five-day orientation program organized by the Center for Teaching and Faculty Development.
Throughout the orientation, faculty participate in workshops, hear from a wide variety of speakers, and are exposed to the many unique but cohesive perspectives that comprise the SF State experience.
They are given the opportunity to meet and network with their fellow “class” members, and forge a connection to the campus culture that they will build upon throughout their career.
The Center is continually seeking to enrich the orientation experience, and welcomes any comments or suggestions. If there is anything you think is important for the New Faculty to know, please email , call x86456, or drop by our offices at LIB 435.
