The Electronic Classroom (ECL)

What is the ECL?

The Electronic Classroom, located in Room 428 of the Library, is a computer classroom equipped with twenty Windows student stations, and both a Windows and Macintosh instructor station . The room is available for faculty and staff to use for classes and meetings as many as three times per semester, per class. The ECL is used for demonstrating and using software such as MS Office® and SPSS®; viewing web sites using Netscape Navigator® or Internet Explorer®; or giving multimedia presentations using PowerPoint ®

Where is the ECL located?

The Electronic Classroom is located in Library 428. Walk into the hallway in front of the elevators and take a left. Follow that hallway until you reach room 428. It will be on your left hand side.

What are the hours of operation?

The Electronic Classroom can be reserved anytime the Library is open and university classes are in session. Faculty using the facility are responsible for making sure it is secured before leaving. During the evening hours, no support is available.

How do I reserve the room

Reservation requests are made on-line via the Web. The reservation request will be confirmed via E-mail. For first time users, it is recommended that you come in for an orientation prior to your reservation date.

What if I need help?

Come to the Academic Technology office, located just around the corner from the Electronic Classroom, in Room 437. Ask for Taylor Judd; if he is unavailable another AT staff person should be able to help. Taylor can be reached at 338-7645; . During evening hours, no support is available.
