Academic Technology Home

The Academic Technology unit supports the integration of technology into teaching and learning at SFSU, in both physical and virtual environments. This support includes:

• Integrating classroom teaching and learning technologies into curriculum (presentations, student response systems, etc.)
• Integrating online teaching and learning components into curriculum (learning management systems, e-Portfolios, video streaming, etc.)
• Faculty development, training, and support related to technology integration
• Faculty computer lab and equipment check-out
• Technology classroom reservations
• Media services (video, photography, and graphics)
• Media collection and distribution

The Academic Technology staff looks forward to assisting you in offering academic excellence to SFSU students.

Relocations due to Library Renovation

The J. Paul Leonard Library is currently undergoing renovations. Currently, the majority of Academic Technology units are still located in the Library. However, as renovations continue, the units will temporarily be relocated to various locations around campus. Please check the directory below to find the current and future locations of each of the Academic Technology units as well as the projected date that the relocations will occur. If you are not able to find the unit you are looking for or have additional questions about Academic Technology during the Library Renovation, please contact our main line at 415-338-3308 or contact the Director of Academic Technology, Maggie Beers, at 415-338-3613.
